The Day The Eagles Imploded

Singing "Best Of Your Love" while inwardly aiming eye daggers at each other, this week in rock history 1980 Glen Frey and Don Felder almost came to blows. The Eagles seem to be past all of that bad blood these days considering they can make $6K a seat at their shows. But right after their masterpiece, "Hotel California" the band became an explosive mix of ego, drugs and alcohol and it all came out during the show at Long Beach, California on this day in 1980. They broke up got together and broke up again. But watching it happen in front of an audience, like fighting with your spouse at the picnic, was both awkward and looking back, kinda funny. Check out the radioactive on stage banter towards the end of this video, trash talk that even amazed Joe Walsh.
