Last September, Smashing Pumpkins sneaked us a peek at a track from the album "ATUM" they'll release next month. This week they announced their tour of the sheds this Summer, hitting Pine Knob September 6th. I was deep diving through the 90's SP hits when I remembered 'Beguiled' and immersed myself in the kabuki theatre that is Billy Corgan's looks of late. In the video he's really hit the apex of his theatrical apparel with whispy layers of fabric in his robe? frock? ghost threads? with hints of Stevie Nicks meets Charmin TP. Or, the 'friendly ghost from Star Trek OS, 'The Children Shall Lead'. Of course, Billy pulls it off. The song is thumping with bass, stoking excitement for the album and of course what we'll see at the show at Pine Knob. Hope there's a light breeze to swish that fabric around when he performs the set from "ATUM" for the full effect.
