Last night on Jimmy Kimmel on ABC, they picked the winning Viral Video of the Year. This year's pic was the Giant Slide at Belle Isle a massive steel people eater that so many remembered fondly from childhood trips in Summers' past on Belle Isle. But when they first re-opened the Giant Slide '22, it was beyond slippery and that coupled with the moguls, height causing terrifying downhill speeds wearing nothng but burlap sacks to save you, made the national news. Picked up by the Viral Video producers on the Kimmel Show, the composer of the ode to the Giant Slide, Detroit's own Gmac Cash got to perform it on the show alongside expert choreography from the Giant Slide dancers managing to make the dance look cool while acting injured. Since the show has lagged with the You Tube segment of our boy Gmac, I put up his performance from when the song was fresh. Unfortunately, they had no Getty Images of our beloved and terrifying Giant Slide either, so I had to pick some dude catching air on a cute, safe, water slide. Enjoy Gmac's brilliant lyrics.
