Gotta love the slasher movie genre--the cheaper they made them the better. Sometimes the grainier effects that the filmmaker has to resort to because of the budget lends to a creepier feel. Its the case with Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. The premise is the beloved furry imaginary pals from Christopher Robin's childhood didn't take being ghosted well when CR grew up and became warped and evil as the years crept by. The movie follows adult Christopher going back to the forest to see the old gang and Oh HELL NO!! Violence ensues and the audience is barraged by scythes dripping blood amidst the distorted and horrific images of good ol' Pooh turned raging bear. There's something very genius in taking a sweet childhood story that's been maxed out by entertainment conglomerates and getting its beloved main character to come after us with teeth and claws. Check out the trailer, the whole movie is expected in theatres in February of 2023.
