Black Crowes 1972 Out Watch Them Perform Papa Was A Rolling Stone

Check out the first offering from the Black Crowes Cover EP out today entitled "1972", paying homage to the year in music. Besides "Papa" by the Temptations they cover The Stones "Rocks Off", David Bowie's "Moonage Daydream" and Rod Stewart's "You Wear It Well". It's our first sample of the synergy of the Robinson Brothers in 12 years of estrangement and it's damn cool. Although, the first to release "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" were the lesser known Motown act, The Undisputed Truth. Anybody who grew up here listening to CKLW remembers hearing their epic, "Smiling Faces Sometimes". Worth going down a Spotify wormhole to rekindle those memories of 1972. Lot goin' on under the roof of Motown back then. I've included a rare version of a UK staged performance of the band for your time travel. Enjoy
