The Black Crowes Time Trip to '72

The Black Crowes go from drought to deluge in 3 short years. From the brothers' Robinson hardballing each other, to a sudden awareness that fans still wanted whatever they were willing to put out. Something about their chemistry that, although volatile, was intrinsically cool to persist beyond their fued. When they came together just before the pandemic, it was because of one Rich's kids wondering why they never got to see their cousins at holidays. Now this Easter, they're not just together, they've taken fan pleasing to a new level. The Crowes release their newest album, 1972 on May 4th digitally on Amazon Music and May 6th corporeally on CD and vinyl. For 1972 they've time tripped to 1972 to capture some of their favorite songs of the day. i always dig it when bands are right in my wheelhouse with songs that we didn't know we've been yearning to hear. Of the six, Papa Was A Rolling Stone and Rod Stewart's You Wear It Well plus picks from T-Rex, the Stones and David Bowie. BTW you can watch them play all these songs and more at the Whisky-A-Go Go in LA on Amazon Music on Twitch on May 4. And since they skipped a couple of decades of touring, they're going out for a second round of dates they missed on last year's trail. Check out the studio sessions and my favorite Black Crowes song that NEVER EVER gets love, so we can share it together: Hey Blackberry
