Bryad Reveals What Was Up Summer of '69

Some who saw it, thought it was awkward. Others wondered why Bryan Adams would be touchy about Today Extra host Belinda Campbell asking him something all the people who've heard the song have wondered, "What DID happen the Summer of '69"? The singer abruptly shut down that line of questioning, pushing the host to ask him about what he was clearly there to hype his new album. Sometimes artists are testy about their old material, but let's face it, he's not getting 735M streams on the new album, not even close. According to the Independent at one point 'SO69" was number one on the charts in Holland. Had a burst of popularity in the US, but it took 10 years to climb up to it's current number of spins on Radio. We play it. But it never got air play in the UK. Might've done better if he'd told the story back then that he confided to the Independent a few weeks ago. That occasion when asked what happened in the Summer of '69, Bryan's comeback was, "I only ever wrote that song because it made me laugh!!" About what??? Meaning? That's all Bry would say. And now he wants us all t shut up and listen to his new one, "Happy it Hurts". Wait 20 years and he might explain what makes him so happy it hurts. But don't bet on it.
