Back in the day, when David Coverdale was cutting off circulation to his lower extremities with pants so tight they looked painted on, it was obvious how women figured into the Whitesnake equation. At least for the cameras that is. They were the hot babes decorating his fast cars undulating in diaphanous gowns with matching long teased out locks blowing in a wind that always seemed to be in their faces. Well, the winds have changed and David gleefully messaged us that there's a new snake in Whitesnake, actually a snakette!! She's Tanya O'Callaghan the "Irish Tornado" and she looks bad ass. Also, provided proof that her bass licks ain't bad either. Check it out. And thanks to Kim Gordon, Tina Weymouth, Suzi Quatro and a host of other babe's with bassists who blazed the trail before her. But especially props to Tanya for breaking into the ultimate iconic 80's dude factor band, Whitesnake. How will the fans like her? Coverdale has hinted that this is his last tour, so we expect dates any day now.
