A warrant has been issued for a Toledo woman accused of breaking into a man’s home and cutting his testicle during the assault. The suspect, identified as Jeanita Hopings, 45, faces charges of felonious assault and aggravated burglary.
According to police, she forcibly kicked in the front door, entered without permission, and attacked the victim with an “unknown instrument,” causing severe injury that required hospital treatment. The alleged attack took place on October 7 in a neighborhood on Boothbay, where Hopings allegedly kicked open the front door and entered the home uninvited.
The victim told police he heard the break-in and ran downstairs, unclothed, only to be confronted by his assailant. According to court documents, Hopings used an unknown instrument to cut into the victim’s scrotum, resulting in severe damage described as “clearly exposed.” He was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
