Joe Perry Addresses The Lineup Changes In Aerosmith !

The band is planning to get back on stage later this year, with a tour kicking off in September. Aerosmith’s last show took place in 2022, and fans have been itching for the band to announce their return. With the new tour planned, it looks like they won’t have to wait much longer.

However, there’s still some uncertainty surrounding the lineup, especially when it comes to drummer Joey Kramer. Kramer has faced health issues in the past, resulting in a break from the band and his temporary replacement by John Douglas. While Kramer is still an official member of Aerosmith, there’s a possibility that his departure could be permanent.

Perry addressed the question of Kramer’s involvement in the upcoming tour, saying:

“That’s probably one of the hardest things. Drumming is probably one of the most athletic parts of playing in a band, so it’s really hard. It’s been, mostly because physically, [Joey has] just been beating himself up over the last 50 years. So, I don’t know. I mean, he’s still officially a member of the band. But I don’t think he’s going to be sitting behind the drums, at least for this next run.”

Despite these uncertainties, Aerosmith has big plans for the future. In addition to the tour, the band may present newly recorded material to their fans, though nothing has been confirmed yet, and the band’s primary focus will be the upcoming tour.
