Radioactive wasps, were found at a nuclear facility in South Carolina.
YEP! Radioactive wasps.
The U.S. Department of Energy, reported that,
“on July 3, Radiological Control Operations discovered a wasp nest on a post near a tank at the Savannah River Site in Aiken.” The D.O.E. reported.
The nest was sprayed to kill the wasps, as well as probed and discovered to be 100,000 dpm, which is moderately high in radiation levels. The wasps were killed, and they were bagged as radiological waste. The ground and surrounding area did not have any contamination, and the incident did not cause any impact to the facility.
There were no reports of anyone getting stung by the wasps and gaining super powers, so there’s no real chance of anyone becoming WaspMan.
