Ted Nugent says Billie Joe Armstong has "lost his soul."
Nugent's assessment of the Green Day frontman comes after Armstrong said he wants to denounce his U.S. citizenship in the wake of the Supreme Court's repeal of Roe v. Wade. "I've gotta tell ya, the word 'cruelty' from the left -- I've witnessed some artists out there, like Billie Armstrong of Green Day," Nugent says. "He's incredibly talented, but he's just lost his soul." Nugent goes on to say Armstrong and other artists "just scream and attack people who choose not to have an abortion."
The Motor City Madman says his biggest concern has nothing to do with whether abortions should be legal. ""It's not the banning of abortions; it's bringing it back to constitutionality and common sense," Nugent says. "By the way, as you and I speak right now, if anybody wants an abortion in America, guess what? They can get one."
