Hearing loss has been the dirty little secret of the rock world. Many musicians admittedly almost deaf because of their choice of work. Brian Johnson lead singer of AC/DC was looking into a future where he would have to pick between performing and becoming completely deaf. After publicly walking away from AC/DC and watching Axl Rose take his job an audio expert reached out to him. Stephen Ambrose had developed a small device that mimics an eardrum. The ear-bud does not work like a hearing aid so there's no hissing and there's 360 degree hearing. It put Brian Johnson back on stage and may save many others from early retirement.
