Lynyrd Skynyrd asks Brent Smith from Shinedown to sing 'Simple Man'

When it comes to cover tunes, there's no bigger compliment than when the band who did the original asks the guy who sings the cover to join them on stage. That's exactly what happened to Brent Smith of Shinedown on the iconic stage at the Ryman Auditorium (The Grand Ole Opry) in Nashville. His version of 'Simple Man' from Lynyrd Skynyrd became a rock radio hit the minute it came out. Brent's passion for the song and his amazing voice took the song to a whole new level. What an incredible moment when he was introduced on stage by Johnny Van Zant to sing their song. Take a listen and have a great weekend! https://blabbermouth.net/news/watch-shinedowns-brent-smith-performs-simple-man-with-lynyrd-skynyrd
