That's exactly what happened to Brent Smith of Shinedown on the iconic stage at the Ryman Auditorium (The Grand Ole Opry) in Nashville. His version of 'Simple Man' from Lynyrd Skynyrd became a rock radio hit the minute it came out. Brent's passion for the song and his amazing voice took the song to a whole new level.
