You may not know his name or barely recognize the band 'Nazareth' but you have heard them numerous times on the radio. "Now you're messin' with a Son of a Bitch"! that's actually called 'Hair of the Dog' or their tune 'Love Hurts', staples for rock radio everywhere. Dan McCafferty was the raspy voice you heard on both those songs, he has now passed away at the age of 76. I once had an interview with him on the phone which I still remember till this day because I couldn't understand half of what he said because of his very thick Scottish brogue. Dan was completely understanding and so nice to a young D.J. who was struggling. Thank you Dan for that and Cheers for all your rock and roll years!
