We've all made mistakes. Most of us not in front of thousands of people. Not that the mistake in front of the one person who looked at you like the biggest idiot in the world doesn't make an impact.. Anyway, back to Kirk. In front of thousands of screaming Metallica fans in Boston, Kirk thought, I know I'll play the beginning to 'More Than A Feeling' by Boston to rile the crowd up, which it did. He then went right into one of Metallica's biggest hits, "Nothing Else Matters' or at least he thought he did. He just couldn't find the notes on the guitar, Kirk finally just gave up and simply fell to the ground to the delight of the audience who clearly heard nothing like "Nothing Else Matters". Everyone applauded as Kirk took to the microphone, apologized explaining "I got distracted!" Then went on to play the song he had performed hundreds of times. It must have been a humbling moment to realize he was failing but he turned that into a moment that endeared him to his fans who cheered him on. Yes, we all make harmless mistakes, have some compassion, 'Nothing Else Matters'. https://loudwire.com/kirk-hammett-flubs-metallica-nothing-else-matters-intro-video/
