A 1,000 musician salute to Taylor Hawkins

It all started as a stunt to bring the Foo Fighters to the small town of Cesena, Italy. A group of 1,000 musicians got together in one place to play a Foo Fighters song in hopes of convincing the band they were worthy of a Foo concert. Now that very group of 1,000 musicians has gotten together again only this time to pay tribute to the late Taylor Hawkins. In front of an audience of 50,000 people drummers, guitarists, bass players and singers performed many songs from bands like Pink Floyd, Guns N' Roses, The White Stripes and finally a special performance of "My Hero" by the Foo Fighters. Check out the documentary 'We Are the Thousand' and check out their moving tribute to Taylor. https://consequence.net/2022/05/taylor-hawkins-rockin-1000-tribute/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=014D-qS0hrw
