"Pistol" biopic about the Sex Pistols coming in May

The first time I saw a real punk rocker was in the 70's. The guy I was interning for interviewed The Boomtown Rats straight off a plane from England. Being a teenager I was not judgmental but in awe at leather jackets worn over their pajama pants, the dangerous looking spikey hair and safety pins everywhere! Rock and roll in the states had a dark side for sure, mysterious and sometimes offering up visions of Satan but this music was angry, really angry! About what? I don't know I was a kid in suburban America but I liked it! There is no understating the influence of the first punk rockers to gain worldwide popularity with "Never Mind The Bullocks" The Sex Pistols. The new mini series on Hulu "Pistol" follows the book by guitarist Steve Jones "Lonely Boy: Tales From a Sex Pistol" it debuts May 31. I would suggest also watching the movie 'Sid and Nancy' staring Gary Oldham who looked more like Sid Vicious did then Sid Vicious. It'll have you looking for your leather jacket and safety pins.
