Metallica's Kirk Hammett will write a comic book for AMC

I'll admit I used to snicker a little when a friend of mine, a grown man, used to visit the comic book store every week. Apparently the comic book industry got the last laugh. Comics are now a huge money maker and who better to launch a new initiative than the channel that brought "The Walking Dead' to life from the pages of a comic book. AMC Networks announced a brand new publishing arm AMC Publishing Networks that will work with new and upcoming artists including Kirk Hammett of Metallica who is new to writing comic books. Kirk has one of the largest horror memorabilia collections in the world and I'm guessing will use that as inspiration for his new graphic novel series "Nights of Lono".
