Do you have hearing loss from concerts? Dave Grohl is partially deaf.

My brother shot concert photography for a good part of his life and he never went to a show without ear plugs in. He told me I was crazy not to wear them. Ahhh! I'm young, I want to hear the music! I stupidly replied. Now I'm not so young and fortunately I still have the majority of my hearing. Rock musicians who on stage night after night have not been so lucky. The first I heard of it was when Pete Townshend of the Who said he was practically deaf. Brian Johnson of AC/DC almost never performed again because of it. Now Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters admitted in a recent interview that he must read lips to understand any conversation. He's able to work because the amps work as one big hearing aid. Dave went on to say that when people started wearing masks it was hell because he couldn't discretely read their lips. I'm glad Dave has come out to reveal this issue. For a lot of us who spent our lives with loud music in loud places, losing our hearing is happening a lot sooner than we anticipated. It's O.K. to get little amps to put in your ears. Have a great weekend! https://ultimateclassicrock.com/dave-grohl-tinnitus/
