After seeing a news piece on Jon Bon Jovi's restaurant in New Jersey I knew that Bon Jovi has not forgotten what it was like to struggle in life. The JBJ Soul Kitchen will feed anyone whether you have money or not. If you'd like to eat then work off your meal by washing dishes or bussing that's o.k. too. Jon says he spends a lot of time in the kitchen washing dishes because simply 'someone has to do it'. He apparently has not forgotten what it was like to struggle as a young band trying to get heard either. Bon Jovi will give the opening slots on his tour to local bands. Many bands lost a lot of time on stage and revenue due to the pandemic, Jon says this is his way of trying to make up for some of that. Nothing may ever make up for that loss but ask any band and they'll tell you. There's nothing like playing the big stage in front of a hometown audience.
