A rock star tribute to blues legend Johnny Winter

Johnny Winter had just played a blues festival in France when he passed away in his sleep on July 16, 2014. His brother Edgar Winter who wrote great songs like Free Ride, Rock n' Roll Hoochie Koo, Frankenstein and many others was asked then to put together a tribute album but he was too overwhelmed with grief. The album has finally come together with so many artists lending their talents the list is too long to add in this post. Some of the highlights are Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Michael McDonald, Ringo Starr, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Joe Bonamassa, and many more. The all-star album "Brother Johnny" will be out April 15th. A tribute well deserved. https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/joe-bonamassa-billy-gibbons-taylor-hawkins-steve-lukather-among-guests-on-all-star-tribute-to-johnny-winter/
