The woman with the 'golden ear' passes away

Rosalie Trombley was so revered as the woman who could make your songs hits, Bob Seger wrote a song about her "Rosalie". She worked for a station in Windsor, Ontario called the Big 8, CKLW as their music director in the late 60's until 1987. Even though the station was in Canada, being that it was directly across the river from Detroit it gave them access to an audience that was hungry for rock. Somehow Rosalie could hear those songs when they came across her desk and she became responsible for the airplay that led to hits that led to massive careers from Bob Seger, Elton John, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Aerosmith, Queen, the list goes on and on. RIP Rosalie Trombley 'the girl with the golden ear'. https://www.freep.com/story/entertainment/music/brian-mccollum/2021/11/24/rosalie-trombley-obituary-dies-cklw-radio/8747118002/ https://ultimateclassicrock.com/rosalie-trombley-dead/
