Slipknot reacts to Joey Jordison's passing

Former drummer for Slipknot Joey Jordison passed away yesterday (7/27/21) according to the family, peacefully in his sleep. His departure from Slipknot in 2013 was not without animosity. Joey said that he was fired because the band thought he was on drugs when actually he was dealing with a neurological condition that caused him to temporarily lose the use of his legs. The band simply commented they were going in different directions. Joey later said he was happy for the success of their first album with his replacement Jay Weinberg. Corey Taylor and others from the band reacted to his death on social media by posting a black square as symbolic statement.
