Jim Steinman the man behind the lyrics for Meatloaf's landmark album 'Bat Out of Hell' has passed at the age of 73. He wrote one of my favorite songs "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" . So seldom can a songwriter commit to satire the way Steinman did without sounding cheesy or forced. His songwriting credits also include Bonnie Tyler's 'Total Eclipse of the Heart'.
