Indie Pro-Wrestler Knocks Out Opponent With Flying Pizza Pie

Luigi Primo is the pizza-slinging indie wrestler portrayed by Austin-based performer Chris Monica, who turned his real-life experience working in pizza shops into one of the most ridiculous gimmicks in modern wrestling.

Debuting in 2014, Primo wrestles in full chef gear, apron, hat, and mustache, while spinning pizza dough like he’s prepping dinner service instead of a body slam. The character leans fully into the absurd, with pizza-themed offense and moves like his “Pizza Cutter” finisher, all while insisting he’s both the best pizza maker and the best wrestler in the world.

The gimmick recently went viral again during Dreams Slam Wrestling’s “For the Love” show, when Primo performed his signature dough-twirling entrance before flattening opponent Mikey O’Shea with a flying pizza pie to score the win. The clip from the Delhi Center exploded online, racking up millions of views, earning cheers from fans, a shoutout from Barstool’s Big Cat, and even a joke from Pizza Hut about using the footage for employee training.

Primo, who also serves as commissioner of the comedy-focused promotion Party World Rasslin’, has spent years refining the character, proving that independent wrestling can blend real athleticism with total ridiculousness. Check him out in action below.
