Have you ever been to a city so eclectic that you're left with a list of questions but in the best way?

What is that sculpture supposed to represent?

Who drew that interesting photo that looks like a real-life Rorschach test?

Who designed the light installation that makes the town square look like a disco at night?

And how about the unique seats in the coffee shop down the winding brick road that look more like a chairlift at a ski lodge than seating accommodations at a café?

Be it any of the previously mentioned attributes or something so totally out of the ordinary that your experience there is unforgettable, there is one city in each state known for being the strangest and quirkiest around.

According to Reader's Digest, the quirkiest city in all of Michigan is Detroit. This city is known for its Theatre Bizarre and unique folk art installations.

Here's what Reader's Digest had to say about the weirdest place in the entire state:

"Detroit is about more than just cars. There are some pretty wacky places to check out in this city, and many revolve around art. Every October there’s a must-see event called Theatre Bizarre that features everything from flame-swallowers to burlesque dancers. And the Heidelberg Project and Hamtramck Disneyland are two other peculiar folk art installations. Don’t miss the enormous fist sculpture dedicated to boxer Joe Louis—it offers a good selfie opportunity."
