Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert Tomorrow

Queen, in association with The Mercury Phoenix Trust, will present a YouTube screening of 1992's Freddie MercuryTribute Concert in support of the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization.

It premieres this Friday at 2 p.m. ET on the band's You Tube channel as part of the ongoing fight with COVID-19, with all donations supporting the World Health Organization. Google is matching $2 for every $1 donated. This ongoing Google/YouTube UN Foundation campaign fundraiser is running through June 30th, but the concert will only be available for 48 hours.

The Mercury Phoenix Trust is a AIDS charity that was founded by Queen following the death of Freddie from the disease in 1991.

The concert took place on April 20th, 1992 at London's Wembley Stadium and featured Queen along with David Bowie,Elton John,Guns N’ Roses,Robert Plant,Metallica,Def Leppard,Roger Daltrey and others.

It was the last large scale live event Queen did with their original bassist,John Deacon.
