The latest proposal to have baseball in 2020 involves a 100 game schedule to start in late June or early July. Games will be played in normal ballparks around the country but without fans. The American League and National League as we know it would be eliminated and replaced with three 10-team divisions based on geography. And teams would only play those teams in their division. The Tigers would be in the Central which would include all the teams in AL Central (Tigers, Indians, Royals, Twins, White Sox) plus the teams in the NL Central minus the Pirates (Cardinals, Brewers, Cubs, Red) plus the Atlanta Braves. It's weird but it just might be the only hope to have baseball in 2020. Many players shot down an earlier proposal to play all games at neutral city sites for the season citing they didn't want to be away from their families for that extended period.
