A new book called Eruption In The Canyon - 212 Days And Nights With The Genius Of Eddie Van Halen (might wanna shorten that) by Andrew Bennett, recounts a story that allegedly took place at an impromptu jam session between Eddie and Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst.
It took place at LB's practice home and Eddie described the jam as “like being a scholar amongst kindergartners.” He didn't like that a lot of folks were smoking weed so he got frustrated and left, leaving his equipment behind.
