Opening Day in Detroit is unlike any other city in Major League Baseball. But alas, the virus (I refuse to say his first name) is ruining everything! So instead, I'm posting one of my fave moments of the last few years. Former Tiger J.D. Martinez had been on the DL and made an 8th inning pinch-hit appearance at Comerica Park against Chris Sale and the White Sox. He received a standing ovation for his first at-bat in almost seven weeks and didn't waste any time getting back into the groove...Happy Opening Day 2020!
