In Nebraska, drivers hoping for a smooth cruise got an unexpected detour into a Godzilla sized pothole when a massive sinkhole suddenly opened up and swallowed not one but two vehicles. Witnesses say the ground gave way without much warning near a rural road, leaving bystanders staring in disbelief as the cars disappeared into the earth like some kind of broadband version of quicksand.
Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt (though we’re guessing insurance companies everywhere briefly considered early retirement), and emergency crews quickly cordoned off the area as folks peered into the new “underground parking spot.” It’s one thing to lose your keys down a drain, it’s another to have your whole ride grab a ticket to the subterranean club.
