Why was there a Lamborghini Huracán doing donuts on Lake St. Clair?

During the recent deep freeze here in Detroit, the surface of Lake St. Clair froze solid enough that people, and their vehicles, have been driving out onto it like it’s a giant icy parking lot.

That included a Lamborghini Huracán, which was caught on video doing donuts and drifting on the frozen lake ice, drawing crowds of onlookers cheering on the high-end sports car’s antics.

While there’s no official statement explaining exactly why the driver chose to take an exotic car out onto the ice, the spectacle fits a familiar pattern: when Michigan lakes freeze hard, people bring cars, snowmobiles and dirt bikes onto the ice to ride and show off, and in this case, a pricey Lambo provided the entertainment.

Just remember: what looks cool on video can be very risky in practice, as ice thickness can vary dramatically and heavy cars can fall through if conditions change.
