A new company introduces a four-day workweek.

Bolt, a San Francisco-based e-commerce startup and tech unicorn, switched to a four-day workweek after a few months of testing.

CEO Ryan Breslow noted an increase in employee productivity, engagement, and wellness when making the announcement on Twitter.

The shorter schedule is all about working more efficiently, which means cutting out unnecessary meetings, presentations, and banter.

In an interview with Fast Company, the CEO emphasized that the four-day workweek gives employees flexibility in how they spend their time.

Bolt believes more American companies will follow suit and implement a shorter workweek.
