Last night, Cincinnati TV station WCPO aired an incredible documentary about the tragedy at a Who concert there in 1979. On December 3rd, 1979 11 people lost their lives due to a rush into the concert that had festival seating. As the gates opened, 18,000 people tried to force their way through 2-4 doors (of 16 total) to try and get to the front. Today, there's a marker at the former Riverfront Coliseum on the site where this occurred. The full documentary in it's entirety can be seen below.
After the documentary, The Who announced they would return for the first time since 1979 to play a show in April.
