A video going viral shows a service robot malfunctioning inside a Haidilao hotpot restaurant in San Jose, California, turning what should’ve been a routine shift into chaos.
The Zootopia-themed robot appears to glitch mid-performance, suddenly smashing dishes and flailing its arms while continuing an erratic dance. In the clip, one staff member tries to intervene but is unable to stop the robot as it continues knocking items around.
Moments later, two more employees rush in to help, but the situation only gets more awkward as it becomes clear no one knows how to shut the machine off. The three staff members eventually manage to physically restrain the robot while it continues its malfunctioning movements.
Despite the chaotic scene, no injuries were reported, and the bizarre incident has quickly spread online as another reminder that maybe we’re not quite ready to let the robots run the restaurant just yet!
