Michigan Man Pulls Chainsaw in Shocking Road Rage Attack

A 68-year-old man from Paw Paw, Michigan, is facing criminal charges after a violent road-rage incident earlier in October that escalated into an attempted assault with a chainsaw in Van Buren County.

The confrontation began when the man allegedly cut off a female driver while pulling a trailer, causing her to pull ahead and confront him. After their vehicles stopped, the suspect produced a chainsaw from his truck bed, which initially failed to start.

He then grabbed and destroyed the woman’s phone, punched her in the stomach, and strangled her before fleeing the scene; deputies later identified him and issued a warrant for assault with intent to do great bodily harm, assault with a dangerous weapon, and malicious destruction of property.
