This might be my favorite Slash side hustle ever!! I've seen Slash with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, but the new project, "Orgy of the Damned" takes it all. At least, based on the first video that's come out with Brian Johnson channeling Howlin' Wolf almost as feral and wild as an actual howling wolf. And Surprise!! Steven Tyler, he of the broken larynx and cancelled tour is in the room, but using that famous pretty mouth for the harmonica. I guess it satisfies some itches for all three of theml. The whole thing drops in May with an astounding cast of collaborators. Like Chris Robinson of the Black Crows crooning the Hoyt Axton a hit about hittin' bottom on drugs, back in the day for Hoyt was heroin. And Gary Clark Jr on Robert Johnson's "Crossroads". "Born Under A Bad Sign" with Paul Rogers and an Iggy Pop tune. Even "Papa Was A Rolling Stone", though I'm not as excited about that one performed by Demi Lovato, although with Slash orchestrating and arranging all of these epic Blues tunes, I could be surprised. Comes out May 17th. Also be sure to rewatch Slash with Wolfgang Van Halen on the "I'm Just Ken:" song from the Barbie soundtrack on the Oscars.
Good stuff.
