Blue Jays Are Ready for Geddy

I started listening to Rush growing up near Cleveland, where that first album was being hammered on the air by a jock named Kid Leo at WMMS. My formative radio inspiration, introducing me to a formative inspiring band that would only mature along with me into an amazing Prog Rock powerhouse. Rush was always bottom heavy, prominent bass and drums supplied by Geddy Lee and Neal Peart. which must've been what drew me to their sound. Rush is one of those bands you can feel while you listen to them. Must've been something about carrying a big stick, cause Geddy, the master of a Fender Jazzmaster Bass in the concert halls, adored the guys who swing Louisville Sluggers out on the green fields of baseball. A lifelong fanatic who used to love the Detroit Tigers, Ged transferred his loyalties to the home team the Toronto Blue Jays when the American pasttime extended into the great white North. Here's Geddy at the Blue Jays home opener last week, sitting in the stands with his tablet, like all of us true fans, watching his two favorite teams the Tigers and the Jays have at it.
