The second tribute concert for Taylor Hawkins at the LA Forum on a Tuesday night seemingly unattached to a streaming service, still was an epic event in the spirit of the Hawk. I found some pretty great takes on YouTube for your perusal, of course, my tastes run to the Rush segment with Dave Grohl killin' it behind the kit where Peart dominated rather than the Mylie set. Dave Chappelle performed "Creep" by Radiohead, his go to breakaway from incisive comic commentary. And there were alot of rock star children there, Violet Grohl opening the show performing 'Hallelujah" and Wolfie showing off the chops Dad taught him again. Poignant moments with Taylor's son Shane on drums wearing the tee shirt emblazoned with the dates of his Father's memorial shows while performing in his finest hour. . Also, serious issue shallow thought: Does Dave Grohl have fifty of that faded black tee shirt with the hole in the armpit, or will he wear the same one until it's in tatters?
