Pearl Jam gives fan with ALS one of his last wishes

A lot has happened since 2019 when Roland Mandel bought his Pearl Jam ticket. Not just with the world but with his ALS diagnosis. He didn't need a wheelchair when he bought the ticket but flash forward to 2022 and Roland is in a wheelchair. Unfortunately there were no wheelchair spaces left at the venue where Pearl Jam was playing. A writing campaign was launched by his friends and family who wanted Roland to see the show this time since chances were he wouldn't be around for the next Pearl Jam tour. Not only did he get into the concert thanks to a lot of persistence but he watched from the stage while Pearl Jam played. It's the experiences in life that mean so much.
