You Can Wear What David Bowie Wore

He was the Thin White Duke, Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, The Man Who Fell To Earth. David Bowie, born David Jones shed his identities as often as he shed his clothes along his career trajectory. Redefining himself artistically many times over where most rock stars were stuck in their image and musical styles. Think Motley Crue or KISS, no offense meant. One of the common themes in Bowie's early work was being alien to this world. Starman, Is There Life On Mars, Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, he seemed not of this Earth. But left behind in an earthly bathroom at The Blitz Club in London, was one of his many lizard skins. A designer Issy Miyake suit that David deemed had too many cigarette burns in it from that night's events to continue wearing. He slid out of it, suited up in a fresh one and went about his night. That's how it has come to the auction block this week. Going on the block at Auction Antiques in the UK for somewhere between 10 and 15 pounds. It's a rare thing, much like the guy who used to wear it. BTW Chiwetel Ejiofor will star in the lead role of an upcoming new series based on Bowie's sci-fi cut classic "The Man Who Fell To Earth" about an alien taking on human form here on Earth to save his home world. Looking forward to more David Bowie inspired series. I'll shoot you all a message here with the where and when.
