A new Tom Petty documentary will be online as part of one of the biggest musical festivals in America, South by Southwest or SXSW. Details are a bit fuzzy but we know it'll be streamed sometime between March 16-18. I've never been to SXSW but I've been to Austin. Of course nothing will replace going from dive to dive on Sixth street or walking through the airport amongst giant guitars but I am happy to see them try to make a go of it during the pandemic. This exciting never before seen film of Tom Petty is a great way to keep it interesting. The film is called 'Somewhere You Feel Free' and taken from 16mm film of Petty in the studio during the 'Wildflowers' sessions.
